If you're looking for a pet drop into Stonington Animal Care and Control Shelter and have a look around.

The animal shelter is located at 151 Greenhaven Road in Pawcatuck and can be contacted at 860-599-7566.

Stonington Animal Control Officer Rae-Jean Davis, introduced us to these animals this week:

Nugget is a mid-aged adult intact male cat. He is yellow and white and has medium length hair.

Joey is a one-year-old black intact male cat.

For Connecticut residents there is a $5 adoption for fee for all animals plus an additional $45.00 fee for any cat or dog that has not been spayed or neutered yet. The $45.00 fee includes vouchers to receive a discount on neutering and for two shots. Out of state residents pay the $5.00 adoption fee.

If you aren't interested in these animals, log onto the Stonington Animal Care and Control website on petfinder to see a gallery of all the adoptable pets.
