Pethouse Pet of the Week: Tina - Houston Chronicle

Name: Tina

Breed: I'm a red-and-black Chihuahua mixed-up diva - all spayed and ready to rock.

Birthdate: Dec. 3, 2010

Turn-ons: I can't believe that Burger King has retired its creepy King mascot. I loved those commercials where you wake up and the King is in bed with you, or he's staring through a window. People like us need people like him. The King was sort of like Colonel Moammar Gadhafi. Hard to watch. But I'm still going to miss the hats.

Turnoffs: Did you see the video of the female news anchor in Libya waving a gun while giving the news on state-run television? That's gold for ratings. I wouldn't mind seeing Gina Gaston fire a bazooka during the Channel 13 news. It might wake up Dave Ward.

Ideal home: The University of Miami supplied recruits with money, trips and prostitutes. And the NCAA slaps a three-year penalty on former University of Tennessee basketball coach Bruce Pearl for inviting high school athletes to a backyard barbecue? Unbelievable. If you get three years for hamburgers, what's the penalty for hookers? Besides those painful penicillin shots.

Tina is available for adoption at Citizens for Animal Protection, www.cap4pets.org, 17555 Katy Freeway. Call 281-497-0591. Meet more animals in need of homes at chron.com/petadoptions.
